who knows where I'm meant to be?
a boat at sea, sways willingly
a patient instability
I can't find peace with the flow
there is so much that I'm yet to show
but I'm wrapped in my casing

all the things that I could be
I'm so wrapped up with wasting
why am I still here waiting?
what more is there to do
while I'm stuck in my cocoon?
teething pains, Achilles heel
the baby cries, an even keel
sometimes it hurts just to grow
folded wings, the bee stings
wasted dreams, they're all just things
here's grace in just letting it go
but I'm unwilling with all that I know

one went it alone
one fell beside the stone
too many times
their lines intertwined
weaving heaven to earth
with one fumbling in the dirt
forgive my fragility

like it did before
while I tend this broken wing

I've been inclined
to give up on the ride
let the angels steer the wheel
but my fears seem to steal
all that shines bright
the light that's in my life

I couldn't crush a little bird

labelled unwell
